    众所周知,此时此刻的中国和世界正处于黑暗之中。新冠病毒的蔓延为众多国家和民众带来了前所未有的灾难和挑战,曾经熟悉的生活方式渐行渐远。在这困境之中,作为老师,我能做的就是借力科技如期完成教学任务。2月中旬,我家人对我返回中国工作的决定十分担忧,他们集体劝我不要返回还在病毒扩散高峰期的中国。但我告诉他们,我对中国充满信心,因为在中国的生活让我懂得以中国人的效率和速度,这个我深爱的国家一定会渡过难关。我需要回去,因为我想念中国的美食、中国的朋友们,和那些让我欢喜让我忧的神兽学生们。我和同事们于32日正式启动网络教学,经过三周的历练,教学状态渐入佳境,我们很荣幸的晋级为学生们心中的最红主播。

    虽然全新的教学和学习模式对师生而言都充满了挑战性,但我个人觉得这暂时的也有很多益处。因为师生都可以更自主的安排自己的饮食和健身习惯,我相信强健的体魄是精神健康的基础。我们每天对着电脑屏幕,腰身和眼睛都会有很强的疲劳感;定期运动、合理搭配饮食、保证睡眠都是消除疲劳感、强身健体的好方法。我建议我的学生们利用家中一切现有资源锻炼身体,比如课间多站立和走动促进血液循环、原地来几分钟平板支撑和下蹲提提神、利用门框拉伸,还可以用家里的大瓶矿泉水做举重训练,这都是我亲身体验过的方法。

    我可爱的学生们,在家的日子里你们要保证身心健康,更要高效利用每一分钟。面对即将来临的全球统考,请在网课期间一如既往的做好课堂笔记,课后完成作业,坚持复习。校内学习模式被按下暂停键,但你们为自己的梦想加油的脚步不能停。还记得我最喜欢的歌词吗 --- “ what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!”, 一切打不倒你的困难只会让你变得更强!用这句话来形容困境中坚持不懈的你们再合适不过了,这个世界没什么可以击垮我们,病毒也不行,因为我们是充满速度与激情的年轻人,希望逆境中走出来的我们如浴火重生的凤凰般坚韧辉煌。

    As we all know, this probably has been the darkest hour in decades for China and many countries around the world.  This virus has had some devastating consequences and as a result it has caused great difficulty for many nations and put a halt on the normal daily activities of every individual. For teachers particularly, returning to lessons with the use of technology is the one thing we could do to ease the hardship Coronavirus has brought upon us.By mid-Feb, when China was still at the peak of the outbreak, many of my relatives were apprehensive about allowing me to return. However I told them that I trusted in China and its ability to control the spreading of Covid-19 because through my time in China, I have learnt how prompt and efficient Chinese can be in dealing with crisis. Plus, I miss all the wonderful food, my friends and my brilliant yet sometime monstrous students.Having started our online lessons on the 2nd of March we are now well accustomed and into full swing of things. It is good to know that we are now the most favorable online host voted by our lovely students. Although online teaching has its own challenges, it comes with many benefits. Being in the comfort of our own home, we are more able to design and implement a healthier diet and exercise routine to improve our general well-being. Physical health aids in mental health. Healthy diet, sufficient sleep and physical exercises are essential to boost one’s immune-system. Being in front of a computer for hours is not healthy for our eyes or bodies. I strongly recommend my students to utilize everything they have at home to create their own exercise routine. Small things like standing and walking around, doing squats or planks between lessons, holding to the door frame for stretching, and even using full water bottles as dumbbells are all good tips which I have experimented myself. My dear students, I would like to say USE YOUR TIME WISELY:  while you invest extra time to develop physical and mental well-being, you also need extra time to study and revise. It is essential that you take notes as normal and start prepping for the upcoming exams. Stop coming into a school doesn’t mean you should stop chasing your dreamsMy favorite lyrics is ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’, this is exactly what we need to remember at this difficult time. With our determination and perseverance, virus cannot bring us down, nothing can! Because we are young, fast and furious, we will emerge from this stronger and more unified than ever.

    2月末,原本热闹的开学季被安静而空旷的街道取代,突然如其来的延期开学通知让我们这些5月就要参加A-level全球统考的学生们有些不知所措。我们该如何备考?老师们都回来了吗?网课怎么上?我们遇到难题怎么办?让我欣慰的是,我心中所有的顾虑都在看到电脑屏幕上一张张熟悉而温暖的笑容中融化,亲爱的老师和老铁们,看到你们真好!三周的网课一晃而过(撒花!),这真的是一种全新的体验。抄不完课堂笔记时,我们可以查看当日的网课录像;老师提前发给我们的讲义,能让我们能更好的预习、更好的理解课堂内容。有些老师还专门准备了电子手写白板,以便更清晰的展示解题步骤和推导过程。当然网课中我们也难免会碰到突发情况,比如突然掉线或者偶尔听不见声音等等。每天在面对困难和解决困难之中,我的学习状态逐渐步入正轨。我要在此感谢疫情中逆行的外教老师们,全体外教的回归,让作为学生的我心存感激。

    当然,正像老师们说的,除了学习之外,身体运动也不能缺失。有健康的体魄我们才能更好的学习,有更好的免疫力,我们才能抵抗病毒。因作为一名健身小白,我不知道该用什么健身器材,于是我选择去做一些简单的动作,比如课间多走动、拉伸、弹跳、原地仰卧起坐和平板支撑。在这里,我要特别感谢妈妈的陪伴,让懒散的我在学习之余一直坚持锻炼身体。

    如今,虽然中国的疫情防控工作虽然已初见成效,但病毒的脚步已遍布世界各大洲,这让未来多了很多不确定因素。作为一名高中生,我能做些什么呢?我的价值在哪里?这些问题让我有些困扰,我不是白衣天使,不能战斗在抗毒一线;我不是科研人员,不能研制灵丹妙药;我不是商界的富豪,不能倾其所有的捐助那些面临苦难的生命。思索万千,我发现似乎我唯一能做的,就是通过学习让自己变得更优秀、变得更有能力去帮助他人,只有不断的充盈自己才能让我们年轻的生命变得更有价值。我期盼着返回校园的那一天,可以继续与小伙伴们并肩作战,向美好的未来扬帆启程。

    End of Feb, instead of opening season for schools,everything seemed quiet and empty. As A-level exam takers, who were only weeks away from the international exams, we were stunned to hear the sudden announcement that all schools were closed until future notice. I asked myself ‘What are we going to do preparing for our exams? Have our teachers come back yet? Online lesson, how do we do that? What if we run into problems at study? ’However, It was such a relief to see familiar faces and warm smile in our virtual classroom, all my worries magically burst away at that moment.Time flies, we have had three weeks of online lesson already (flowers scattering required ), what a refreshing experience. We can review daily lesson recording if we miss taking any notes; the digital hand-outs from teacher before lessons help us to preview lesson content and better understand the syllabus. Some teachers use electronic writing board to show us the process of solving certain questions. Of course, we run into problems online sometime because of bad internet connection. But in the process of facing problem and solving problem, I have gradually stepped on the right track with online learning. As a student, I am extremely grateful to our subject teachers, who chose to come back to China at the peak of crisis.As our teachers says, physical exercise is important too. We can only study better and fight this virus if we have a healthy body with a strong immune-system. But I am a beginner at work-out, I don’t know much about using the right gears for home exercise, so I picked the easier ones like walking, jumping, planks and sit-ups. Thanks to my mum who has encouraged me and accompanied me for exercise, a lazy girl like me has managed to do daily exercise throughout my home study.Nowadays, China has largely put Covid-19 under control, but this virus has infected all continents around the world. This has created many uncertainties for our future. As a high school student, what can I do to help? What is the value of my existence? I am not a doctor, nor a nurse, I can’t help at the front-line; I am not a scientist, I can’t develop a panacea for the sick; I am not a rich businesswoman, I can’t  help those in need with my wealth; so what can I do right now? These questions make me ponder hard, in time I gradually realized that in order to make my existence more valuable and meaningful, the only thing I can do is to be a better version of myself via putting effort in my study, so I can grow into a stronger and more able human being, who is capable of helping others in future. I sincerely hope when we go back to school, we will continue to persevere and grow into a stronger and socially responsible young adults together.
